Airport Information
To reach the Mayan Riviera you generally fly into Cancún airport then take local transportation to reach your destination. The airport serves a busy traffic load of regional and international flights. Many flights to and from Cancún also stop at Cozumel. Airport code: CUN

Weather/Climate
The average annual temperature of the Mayan Riviera is 25.5 degrees Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit), with fluctuations of 5 to 7 degrees. In July, August and September, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the sky, which can change from overcast to clear in minutes. From November to April, there are usually blue skies and a cool northern wind. The Caribbean Sea temperatures are warm and refreshing.

Local Customs
The Mayan Riviera has been a long known destination and local customs reflect this. Come sunset, relax in the most beloved of local traditions--sipping poolside margaritas.

City Layout
There is not an exact spot where the Mayan Riviera begins; the general agreement is that once you get onto highway 307 along the coast in Quintana Roo you are pretty well into the Mayan Riviera.
