Bus
Traveling by bus is safe in Manzanillo and can be an interesting view into the local culture. The ride will generally cost 4 pesos and you must repay if you change busses. Please note if you give large bills you may not get the correct change, and the bus drivers do not accept US currency. Buses generally run every 10 minutes except during siesta time (2-4:30pm). The bus system is simple in Manzanillo, the bus will display a sign in the window:
Taxi
ALWAYS get the price before you hop in a taxi, they can be very reasonable but you will need to set the price ahead of the ride. A ride to just about anywhere in Manzanillo should cost 50 pesos or less. Be sure to have small change as most taxi drivers do not carry change and remember the price is the same for up to 5 passengers, so share your ride. Keep in mind if you want to go explore the area, taxis are hirable by the day, find a driver you like and go explore.
