La Guelaguetza
Most important fiesta of the year, started in 1932, came from Zapotec and Mixtecs, it displays an admirable exchange of culture and goodwill among the 16 ethnicities populating the 8 regions of the state. The festival lasts for almost 6 hours with dancing, beautiful clothing and costumes. Don't miss this exciting and unbelievable experience for a visitor.
Days of the Dead
Celebration is of pre-Hispanic origin, blends with Catholic traditions with unusual color and happiness, held during the first two days of November with flowers, candles, spicy chocolate sauce, big sweetened loaf of bread, local spirit drink, and songs.
Noche de Rabanos
Traditional annual celebration on December 23rd, displays figures and adornments made of radishes and corn peels as well as other crafts.
Nightlife
Traditional night in Huatulco is sitting around the zócalo over a coffee or a beer. If you are in a dancing mood, visit one of the dance clubs for a fun night out.
